Year Five: The Sketches

As has become an annual tradition, I have compiled the sketches which featured during my fifth year of blogging (which, incidentally, almost coincides with the tax year.)  It always reminds me that I haven’t done as many as I planned.  But also slightly more than I remember doing.  Here they are – clicking on the sketch should take you to the relevant post!

I have a lot of favorites among these this year, but I have to say "holding out for a hardback" makes me laugh every time I see it. :) Thanks for the year-in-review. :)

Your sketches are always so refreshing, Simon. Seeing them on your posts reminds me of the illustrations scattered about the Ms Pettigrew book.

Claire! What a lovely comparison – I would love to convey the joie de vivre those illustrations have.

I look forward to your posting your sketches. They are truly "Thurber-esque." Especially enjoyed "If Book Titles Were Helpful."

I love the Faulks on Fiction/Friction/Diction and also the useful book titles – so true!

Congratulations on such a long blogging career; long may it continue.
