Tea or Books? #50: Question & Answer

To celebrate episode 50, we are doing a question and answer episode!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas – I’m editing this a few days before Christmas, but I’m going to assume that a wonderful time was had by all. We were really delighted with all the questions that were sent in (thank you!) and have picked 36 of them to discuss in this episode. Tune in in two years’ time for more questions and answers in episode 100!

You can see our iTunes page here, and we always welcome reviews and ratings. We’ll be back in the new year with books we think the other one will love – I chose The Boat by L.P. Hartley for Rachel, and Rachel chose Wallace Stegner’s Crossing To Safety for me.

I love Neighbours! I am a child of the ’80s and I still watch it. I am so glad to hear that Simon enjoys it too! Hope you both had a lovely Christmas x

Lovely episode, thank you! As usual I have gathered quite a few reading ideas. I definitely MUST read Emily Eden in 2018 as I am sure I will enjoy her books.
It was also great to hear you talk of some other things aside from books (especially your distaste for sport, I sometimes feel guilty of not liking or doing any but am so glad of not being obliged to do it anymore, it was torture in school).

If you don’t want to loose a lot of reading time, stay away from BookTube. Love it, but I spend WAY too much time watching people talk about books rather than reading them.

Thanks for the wonderful episode! Yours is the only blog I follow, and I wouldn’t miss it. I really enjoyed hearing about your lives beyond books. Can’t wait for the next one!

I have recently discovered your podcasts and it has been such a pleasure listening to you both on my long train commutes from the countryside into Sydney city in Australia. I always come away with so many ideas and inspiration for reading that the only drawback is that it does not help in trying to tame my very long to-read pile of books! I was also delighted to hear vegetarianism and Bible podcasts mentioned amongst all the bookish talk. It’s not often that so many of the things I love collide in one spot, even if just in passing. I look forward to hearing more from you both in the coming year. Have a wonderful New Year’s!

Lovely episode, and fascinating to hear both of your responses to the questions! I have to say that I’m with Rachel on the subject of tea – very fond of Teapigs and Clipper…. ;)
