Song for a Sunday

Colin, my brother, recently described something (I forget what) as “like your Song for a Sunday – people wish it wasn’t there.”  To heap coals on his head, today’s song is one he told me about.  We don’t share a taste in music any more than we share a taste in books, but occasionally there is something we both like – step forward ‘Rainy Days and Mondays’ by The Carpenters.

I like this one a lot too Simon. I always enjoy your choices on Sunday even if I don't actually like them – it's great to try something new and see if it fits. Should thank you more often :)

I love your songs for a Sunday! But perhaps that's because our taste in music is similar. :) And like penandpencilgirls said, it's always good to discover new music.

Aww, thanks! Our similar taste is not shared by all that many, so do let me know any artists you love in return!

He is, indeed, very funny! (I hope that's an area where we're not too wildly different ;))

Ha Ha. Tell yuor brother there are one or two of us out there that thoroughly enjoy your Sunday Songs. Keep 'em coming, please. Book reviews are fun but to have a little break once in a while is refreshing.

Thank you. This has always been one of my favourite songs. Karen Carpenter had the most incredible voice. For a long time it has been unfashionable to admit you like The Carpenters but, come on, great songs and a female drummer!

I know, I still feel a little embarrassed to love this song so much, but… it's just great!
