Off to Scotland…

I’m off to Scotland for a long weekend, with William by E.H. Young and Gay Life by E.M. Delafield in tow – hope you’ve been able to track down one or other of them if you’re planning to join in a readalong. Not entirely sure about the schedule for them, but keep an eye out on Darlene‘s blog for more info about reading William. I have a feeling it might just be Danielle and I who have managed to track down Gay Life…

I anticipate coming back with armfuls of books – see you next week! (Except for a little post which will appear tomorrow…)

Good luck with your book search. I remember coming across a wonderful book store in Edinburgh that seemed filled with cheap old Penguins. I would have bought them all, except for the problem of carrying them around and getting them back to Australia. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Have a fabulous time – I found an amazing second hand bookshop in Edinburgh in December – ended up buying a ridiculous number of books. I am intrigued by Gay Life by E.M. Delafield – I haven't heard of it and love all things Delafield so will look out for it.

Hmm – I could join in if you lent it to me when you are done?! I am about to start on the Richmal's this weekend. Hope you have a good trip.

R and I have a day of browsing through second-hand bookshops planned for Saturday so thanks for the reminder about Gay Life. Note to self…

    Have a great weekend!

Wonderful. How lovely to live near enough to Scotland to go for the weekend.

Yes, it's me! I am reading away and will email you about how things are going. Since it is set on the sunny French coast, there are at least mental visuals of warmth and sunshine! Hope you're having a great time and find lots of wonderful books!

    Mystica – thank you!

Karyn – all will be revealed this evening… some wonderful bookshops.

Naomi – there are so many good bookshops there, and I visited most of 'em!

Verity – Hope you enjoy the RCs! I'll have to think whether I can cope with letting a signed EMD out of my sight… (Bod has a copy!)

Karen – well, two days out of three isn't bad, re:weather…

Anon – Shame I didn't this before I went! I found the second but not the first.

Susan – all will be revealed tonight…

Darlene – you'd be very lucky if you did… fingers crossed!

GRC – brilliant! I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Susan D – it felt like an awfully long train journey, though… still, lots of reading time.

Dani – just you and me, I think!
