Congratulations!

What were you doing on 23rd August 1982?

Before you start flicking through old journals, I’ll tell you why that day was rather special. Our Vicar and Our Vicar’s Wife, when they were but Our Curate and Our Curate’s Fiancee, got married.

Now they can chalk up 25 years of marriage, and I’m sure you’d like to join me in wishing them a very happy Silver Anniversary, and commend them on their rather wonderful sons… chortle…

Congratulations Mum and Dad!

Oh my goodness they were married the same year as us but nearly 8 months later. 1982 must have been a good year.

I do remember what I was doing – working at CERN for my PhD in Particle Physics, probably looking at holograms of charmed particles on a modified “Bessymatic”.

    Congratulations!

Hmm well I expect I had my head in a bucket with morning sickness because with a one year old already hatched I’d just discovered that number two was on the way!
