3 little links…

Here are three things I’ve written in other places this week… fill your boots!

1.) I reviewed Aldous Huxley’s The Genius and the Goddess at Vulpes Libris.

2.) 5 things you didn’t know about Mrs Dalloway over at OUP Academic Tumblr (although, spoilers, I think some of you definitely will know these)

3.) My favourite: 12 nouns that are always plural. The most geeky English language thing I’ve ever written AND the most cat-themed thing I’ve ever written. *drops mic*

Ha! Yes, indeed, one could hardly avoid it. Haven’t seen that trend on the streets yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time…

He really isn’t at ALL what I was expecting from him.

Wonderful! I especially love the facts about Wolfe. I’m going to bookmark the Nouns post for reference (because my grammar skills are negligible).

Love the 12 nouns that are always plural (and the cats!). Curious that they seem to be in groups, like all those words for cutting implements, and garments you wear on your legs. .

It is curious! And for different reasons for different things. A section of English I’d never really thought about before.

Love the nouns & the cats! I bet you had a lovely time finding just the right photos. How can you call that work?

I have to confess that our wonderful assistant Tanja did the picture-finding – she is a genius at it! But my work is definitely mostly super fun :)
